Juan Luis Meliá Petschen


Born in Ciudadela, Menorca (Balearic Islands- Spain) , 8th August 1961

In 1991 he graduated in philosophy in the University of the Balearic Islands

The same year he obtained a four years' research grant by the Ministry of Education and Science to prepare his doctor degree (1992-1995)

From 1992 to 1993 he obtained a grant in the University of Padua (Italy) under the leadership of Franco Chiereghin, Piero Faggioto and Giovanni Santinello



In 1993 he obtained a grant in the University of Marburg (Germany) under the leadership of Reinhard Brandt

In 1995 he obtained the doctor degree (cum laude) by the University of Balearic Islands on his doctoral thesis Metaphysic and system in the Critique of pure reason of Kant. Investigation about the origin of the dualism sensibility-understanding as a presupposition for the Critique of pure reason.

Since 1995 he is working in his project about application of the new technologies in the scientific documentation, specially in philosophy.

During winter 1997 he concludes the indexing of Immanuel Kant´s "Reflexionen" according to the parameters of the edition of the Royal Prussian Academy of Science (1911..) as well as its introduction.

Together with José Ramón Cabrera Díez he founds in 2000 Microdata Research S. L. in order to give a commercial basis to the Database for philosophical documentation.

Between December 2001 and February 2002, the author motivated by the systematic elaboration of different types of links of the DphD, outlines the treatise Critical Fundamentation of the language in general. Prolegomena to complete determination to the transcendental grammar.

At the end of February 2002, Mr. Meliá sets out like objective to commercialize the DscD by the end of 2004.
